Sage Knight ~ Literary Midwife

Hi. My name is Sage Knight, and I’m a professional ghostwriter. That means I make my living writing stories for other people. Usually their life stories. It’s a fascinating field, and I love what I do.

Ever since childhood I’ve enjoyed stories in all forms, everything from watching the annual showing of “The Wizard of Oz” on television to hearing about how someone spent their day. My favorite story-time memories are the long summer nights spent sitting around a campfire, listening. I especially liked the tales where someone overcame a powerful challenge through faith, perseverance, and humor. It’s no surprise that these are the kinds of stories I write today.

When I was nine years old and in the third grade, my classmates and I were allowed one trip to the school library per week. We’d all file downstairs to the tiny, book-lined room in the basement next to the school cafeteria and choose our favorite stories. We had a ten-book limit, and I usually had a tough time narrowing down my choices. It didn’t bother me at all that I would have to carry my literary treasures a couple of miles home. I’d bet that Aesop’s Fables and Perplexing Puzzles and Tantalizing Teasers spent more time in my room than at the library. These two books—one about life’s lessons and the other full of mind games and wordplay—foreshadowed my current profession. I listen to people’s stories, play with the words, and help them articulate the meaning they wish to share. It’s a great deal of work, but when it all comes together, the result is magical!

Do you have a story to tell? If you do, but you simply don’t have the time or perhaps the skill set to tell your story with the excellence it deserves, give me a call. I welcome the opportunity to be of service to you, to your story, and to the many readers who will benefit from your willingness to share.
